Domain Sniping is Here! The Wait is Over!

Are you sick and tired of placing your high bid for an expired domain name, only to have someone swoop in at the last second? Do you hate to place you bid early, because it attracts interest from domainers only looking for names with bids? Do you have a problem with sitting at your computer all day or night to watch the domain auction end to get your bid in at the end?

If you answered yes to these questions, you will find this software extremely useful. uSniper.com is proud to present to the domaining community a software tool that will truly revolutionize the way you bid on domains. You can use our proprietary software to place your high bid at the exact moment you want. You can set your bids at any point before the auction ends, and go about your day without watching the daily expired auctions end. You can rest assured that your bids will be placed when you want them to and you will win your domain at the best price possible. No longer will you be a slave to expired auction house schedules!

US domainers all know how annoying it is to sit at their computer and wait all afternoon. Many international domainers have to sit and watch the auctions end at midnight or later. This software will truly level the playing field for all domainers. No one will have an unfair bidding advantage because of timing. The only people with an unfair disadvantage will be those who do not use our product.

I have saved the best for last. This program is free of charge, so please visit www.uSniper.com and try our software today!

uSniper.com is brought to you by the people at Freshdrop.net.

Does this tool have the capability to "read" when an auction has been extended and continue bidding until you have reached your top proxy bid?

Just asking because of the possibility that one may still need to monitor the last minutes of the auction.

FWIW, This kind of tool is long overdue!

Good domain name! Suggests an empowering of the bidder.

Good luck with this venture!

Thanks for the positive comments! Yes this program has the ability to detect when two minutes have been added to the auction. If the bid is still below your bid, it will place the bid when it is supposed to. You also have the ability to set the end time whenever you desire to suit your strategy. If you prefer to bid with 10 seconds remaining, or with 2 minutes and 10 seconds remaining, USniper can accomodate you.

I should mention that USniper is currently only available with Windows operating systems and on Godaddy Auctions/TDNAM. We plan on increasing these options in future versions.

Thanks

Is this legal with GoDaddy's TOS?

I quickly looked at their TOS -

https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/agreements.asp?cart=true

Section 8. Use Of GoDaddy Software:

"You agree to not alter or modify the Software. You agree You are not authorized to combine the Software with any other software program, create derivative works based upon the Software, nor are You authorized to integrate any plug-in or enhancement which uses or relies upon the Software. You further agree not to reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to uncover the source code."

Just curious if they condone use of this software.

Do you have a similar product that works with SnapNames?

Great comments everyone!

I think that everyone will agree that this sort of product has been long overdue in our industry. I for one wish this product was around alot sooner cause i've missed plenty of good names just because i wasn't available at the pc to monitor the auctions.

Well, now everyone has a tool to use that greatly frees up each domainer's valuable time.

Yes, we are looking to build more modules for different auction houses in the near future. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

We need everyone to spread the word about USNIPER.com . As long as the word can get out about this new exciting product then the product has interest and can grow. Without people doing this, it will be hard for us to add new features to it.

If you are a blogger, please do blog about this exciting new product to the domain industry. If you have domaining friends, please tell them about it.

This is a new exciting tool for the domainer community... and with everyone's help, we can make this work!

You have my support. I'll throw it in my sig for a while as I would love to see further advances with this program.

I wanted to add that Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 and the Service Pack (SP) is required to run this program. This can be found from the Microsoft download site. A link has been added to the uSniper.com website.

Thanks

is anyone else having issues trying to download? It's saying:

"The Compressed folder is invalid or corrupted"

DomainName was able to correct the issues by updating his Service Packs -- issue resolved.

Would be funny to see what happens when 2+ folks attempt to snipe the same domain name using this tool.

Actually there is not much of a difference. Every bidder places a 'maximum bid' within the sniper program. So the person with the maximum bid would be the winner.

Well, that's rather obvious :)

Of course I was asking about a case in which two buyers place the same maximum bid on the same domain.

Another question -- is the tool smart enough to monitor a given domain with no bids and snipe it as soon as it his the fire sale stage? I'd presume not since using "Buy Now" requires entering payment information, which your tool's interface doesn't have space for.

That is a good question. It should be handled the same way that Godaddy handles it. If the bid amount is exactly the same, then whoever places it first wins. If they are placed at exactly the same time at exactly the same bid, then whosever bid Godaddy would have put through first will be placed first.

We would like for the tool to be able to do this in future versions, but it is not necessarily a matter of the program needing to be smarter. As you pointed out, the program would need to be able to pay for the Firesale name as soon as purchasing it. Perhaps in future versions you can pre-submit credit to make Buy it Now purchases, at the moment the program can only bid on auctions.

It has come to our attention that some of the 32 bit uSniper systems may be experiencing a login problem. We believe that the 64 bit versions are all still operating properly. We are working diligently on the solution, and we have made fixing it a TOP PRIORITY.

If anyone ever experiences any technical difficulties, please PM me as soon as you do and I will be happy to look into it for you.

I will keep everyone posted and message here when we have it fixed.

Thanks

We believe that we have found the problem and fixed it in all uSniper programs. Please accept the automatic update when the program is opened and it should be working and ready to bid.

If anyone still experiences this problem please let me know.

Thanks

It seems that the login problem has returned. This error is a result of a change in the Godaddy Auction site. As a result, we must change uSniper to accomodate the changes at Godaddy. We are working on a permanent solution now.

I will keep everyone posted as soon as everything is working again.

Thanks

uSniper is Back and Better than Ever!!

We appreciate everyoneโ€™s support and eagerness to get uSniper back online during this recent outage. This confirms our original assessment that this product is widely needed throughout the domaining community. We wanted to apologize to everyone for the recent technical difficulties we have been experiencing. We are pleased to announce that uSniper is back online and ready for everyone to use!

I would like to take a moment to explain the recent outage to the community, so they can understand why the program stopped working and what we are doing to prevent this type of thing from occurring again in the future. Godaddy recently changed significant parts of their website and in particular to their login process. Many of these were not easily visible, but many of you may have noticed it and might have actually just considered it to be a glitch at Godaddy. Godaddy has since fixed these errors with some new corrections and the site appears to be running normally now. We also had to make some major changes to uSniper to help it operate with the drastic changes Godaddy implemented to their site. uSniper is fully operational now and better than ever.

We at uSniper unfortunately have no control over when Godaddy might make changes to their site and we do not know beforehand how major these changes will be or how they will affect uSniper. We can promise everyone that if Godaddy makes changes in the future, we will work tirelessly to get uSniper back online. We have been spending some of this downtime crafting a solution to speed up this process. uSniper will also be able to self-diagnose if there is a change at Godaddy that will prevent its use. It will then notify us to get to work immediately to make the necessary changes and it will notify the user so he knows that he must bid normally until the problem is resolved. We have an auto-update feature, and we expect to have this self-diagnostic update to everyone within the week. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the recent changes, everyone will have to re-download uSniper to get started again. From this point on any patches can be auto-updated and you will not need to re-download from our site again.

Thanks again and please re-visit uSniper.com and give our program another shot. We know that this tool can save everyone a lot of time, and hopefully it can also allow everyone to bid on every domain they truly want.

- Seth
