Hey guys,

I’m debating between two naming structures for a new brand and would like your input.

Is it better to go with a long coined word (merging two terms into one - as an example - DigitalMarketing) or keep them as two separate words? To use camelcase or not - DigitalMarketing or Digitalmarketing?

The "coined" approach feels punchier and is likely easier to trademark, but two words can be better for instant readability.

From a branding and SEO perspective, which do you think sticks better? Would you prioritize a unique single term or stick to clarity?

Thanks!

This is not coined DigitalMarketing, which is better to cap the letters of both words.
Coined most of times is brandable that starts with one capped letter.
Till we not see what are the words we can't help much.

Yeah, it's literally like asking other people: ''Should I buy apples or oranges?''

If you are personally looking for a brand buy both the Coined Word and Two Word if they are both available. $40 a year (I am just using this number as a guide) is better than regretting not getting it and someone else registering it and even wanting something small like $1,000 for it if you approach them.

To answer your question I think it is preference and may depend on the market and competitors as well. Microsoft vs PayPal. I like brandables if they are good. Something like Apple or Ebay for instance.

My recommendation is to hand reg the final contenders and keep them for a bit why you think about it.

To me one of the most important, if not the most important, is the radio test.
