.tv Bought my first .TV

Well, I finally did it. After following the threads on here and the rise in .TV, I bought my first one. I'm a TV Junkie, so I bought the name of a new show coming up next season. There's not much going on the show yet, so I'm hoping to jump the gun on this one.

Last year I put up StopSkynet.com for Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but it was already late in the game and there were half a dozen other fan sites already beating it by a mile. I'm not sure what I'm doing with that one now, I had it parked but it wasn't doing well, adsense was just starting to work when the show went on hiatus, so it should pick up again in the fall.

Anyway, just wanted to say it was because of you guys that I jumped into the .TV pool. If I make a mint on the site, I'll buy a round of drinks for everyone! LOL.

Welcome to .tv addiction. I started in 2000 when everybody laughed at me. I think about 100 .tv's ago I said that's it, no more. Next thing you know in the middle of the night when wife was asleep and credit card in hand I bought another, than another, than another. (My wife said if you ever buy 1 more .tv than I am tearing up all your credit cards). Than a good domain sale came through and I started to turn her around. That is how it is in .tv land, everybody will come around eventually.

Than Godaddy.com had this sale last year on .tv and I figured what the hell, what's another 100 more .tv. They are on sale Get ready for the ride

Is there a 12 step program for this?

As I was looking up the domain name I was thinking, why aren't the studios buying the xxx.tv domain for every show they produce? It would be so easy to train an audience to type the name of a show and .tv and voila -- official site.

Why are we the only ones who can see the logic? It's like a white light drawing you forward -- must buy more .TV. . .

Type-ins are funny with .tv. Some of mine get 20-30 a day that I got 2 months ago and some get 1-5 a day that I got in 2000. They are parked so it's direct type-ins. I look at .tv as a 9 inning game and we are just in the 2nd inning. Our day will come and if you look at google trends for .tv the growth is amazing.

One thing I'm noticing is that it seems like Google and Yahoo don't want to index my .tv as fast as they do other sites I've put up. It's Wordpress based with all the usual things I do for my sites, but it's just not getting indexed as it should.

Coincidence, or is this a .tv thing, do you think?
