Just bought my first domain from someone ever & on Namepros no less. I bought yawf.com for $288 BiN from Andrew Knox and the entire transaction went super smooth. I consider the price to be more than fair and frankly am surprised bidders nickled and dimed Andrew on this Auction as the BIN price seemed beyond fair. I usually don't register nonexistant words but lousy unpronounceable 4 letter COMS sold for decent money ($500-$1499) on Ebay and this looked like a no lose investment and will be checking out more Namepros auctions in the future for the BIN. I am surprised how fast and smooth the transaction went.
It took just 3 days or so to go into my portfolio and maybe 10 minutes of my time. Thanks, Andrew.

Why isn't this in the Domain News section?

Yeah. Cause I never purchased a domain from another person before and it was on Namepros and it went smoothly. Maybe it might help someone else use Namepro auctions who is not a good old boy like you.

How have you been on the forums for 10+ years and this is the first purchase from another member?

"Yawf" is a decent pronounceable domain, better than the vast majority of 4s here. I don't know if it's $388 decent but good luck with it.

The retail was in my opinion a more than fair price and it was worth trying to buy it outright than losing if over an auction bid close to the $288 Buy It Now. What surprised me was how smoothly and easy the transaction went for a first timer especially considering the seller was in Australia and I was in the US but Andrew Knox made it easy.

First purchase from any human on Namepros or anywhere. All of my other domains were hand Reg Domains from my fertile mind. I do have I believe a 1% sale through rate in retrospect but when they each sold for $400 apiece, that did not make for a profitable return on all the domains I registered. The main mistake I made was letting many domains expire after 1 or 2 years. I just happened to glance at the auction and this seemed like a more than reasonable price BIN based on the horrible 4L Coms I saw sold on Ebay in the past month or so for $500-$1,500. I'll probably check on the auctions/BIN more regularly though I doubt I'll bid but just BIN if I have the funds available.

No it was $288 and I bought it for that reason and for the reason that 4 Letter Unpronounceable domains were selling between $500-$1,500 on Ebay. Did I make another typo!

Congrats on the buy, its like getting your domain cherry popped

They sold on Ebay! Contrary to peoples wihes, I am not stupid enough to use unsold selling prices as a guide to if certain domains seem to hold some sales values.

Oops, 288 it is. I didn't double check.

Since it's pronounceable it's worth a shot. I'm not a fan of unpronounceable 4Ls, I don't get their popularity.

Congratulations on your first ever purchased here but also i'm surprised you member since 2014 and you never traded a single domain since 2014, how is that possible?

I 'm not a fan of made up/unpronounceable words as well but a bunch of these 4 letters COms sold on Ebay recently for over $1,000 each & just felt like this was a no lose opportunity with a pronouncable made up 4 letter Com.!

Not sure what "traded"means but I just registered words myself on Godaddy & never bought them off a person. I did buy 2 or 3 expired domains on Godaddy for under $50 including the IDN Godaddy Scammed me On: eรป.com which they sold me as this but when I put it on Afternic they converted it to xn--e-cha.com and are waiting for the next victim to scam. So I never bought a domain from a person before.

Congratulations. Now go back and buy some more :)
There are TONS of gems hiding in NPs threads. In the past 20 years I've bought domains here (and on the other forum that sucks LOL) and sold many of them for thousands of dollars. You just have to pick the ones that have potential.
