I noticed that too, not sure what it is about, but I would assume either the demand for .tv is rising or their margins are shrinking or both. We have to our boy over there.

Hows this for timing.........given that all resellers of .TV now NEED to offer these tools to customers for their touchy feely channels, well that costs money.....hence a quick caulation price increase!!!

Hmmmm, just emailed an account executive there about pricing, I wonder if there isn't something wrong on their side? Just seems like they would have run a "renew now before the big price increase" campaign, rather than tick off their customers with no notice. I am hopeful this is an error of some sort. As a .TV domainer, you should ask yourself: Is eNom as a .TV supplier or a .TV competitor? IMHO, eNom is NOT ONLY a .TV supplier...

I just talked to a GoDaddy Account Exec, and he says the increase is systemwide. That is, expect similar pricing immediately from other registrars as well. He said that they are simply passing on the price increase which was handed to them. He did offer me a slight discount on renewal fees, but not enough to make the difference up.

Further, he said that within three months we should expect a .60-1.50 increase in .com prices, again, from all registrars.

Has anyone seen any price increases from other registrars?

I don't care Bob is going for more cash. Hes problem.

I heard enom raised prices too on another board. Well I guess we have to raise our reselling rates too! No more selling .tvs at $25, unless its to unload them. It should increase the aftermarket interest. No one will be registering 10 at a time with these rates. Even a $100 resell price point is too low, you would just double your money.

Enom.tv pricing is still the same last I looked at $24.95. I have no clue why Godaddy would hike prices to that level. They will lose a lot of customers.

The exec I spoke with also said that at the recent conference out west a lot was said about this being .TVs year. Not sure why that justifies higher pricing on their part, maybe Bob needs more party favors for his marketing department.

Received an email from wwd that .tv prices are going up. Any thoughts as to why the increase? Seems strange to raise prices like that all of sudden.

Its because all the interest in internet tv. dont worry you can still get good .biz domains.

Anyhow, I guess goddady was just the first to adopt severe price increases! Im glad everyone got in while it was cheap! Better grab up what you can from the remaining cheap registrars. Dig up all those old names in the back of your brain!

I've been out of the loop on new regs of Dot TVs.

What is the new price and what was the old price?

I just use http://www.idotz.net with $29.95 regs and $34.95 renewals...

I wonder if this means the renewel on the GD .tv names will be the same. If so then transfer is the answer.
