guys,

if you see a premo you want and can afford it - do not hang around - buy it!!!

its getting ridiculous now - i had one name in mind that dropped and went from reg fee to premium at $500 - i was thinking about getting it still and low aqnd behold it is now $1500 within a week of being at $500

this is the first time i have noticed two price increases within 7 days of a ref fee drop

safe to say that premos are here to stay for the long long foreseeable future

Is eNom the only company doing this?
Premiums can only be registered with Enom. If you want a premium name it has to be registered at Enom and every other registrar will show that its already registered. Also you can't transfer out a premium name from enom.

premium

I don't have any love for eNom and transfer everything I get there to other companies. Nevertheless, it was fairly easy to find their "premium" list. I had absolutely no idea they were doing this. Sure "TV" sounds cool, but those prices are absurd. It must make it insanely difficult to find a buyer, when you have a $10,000 yearly renewal fee. Do they really think tobacco.tv is worth that much money. Laughable. I saw a some domain in the $1,500 that should be illegal to sell. Disgusting!! Thanks for all the information. I'll make sure I don't register any TVs with eNom.

There was a domain company who had an idea similar to this years ago "when the name doesn't sell raise the price", they called it something like a "domain escalator", unfortunately this idea doesn't work, when something doesn't sell you need to reduce the price.
