I'm looking for some suggestions for books I should read.

I don't really have a genre in mind but I'd like to be able to keep an open mind and read anything.

Looking for books that'll give me ideas and maybe even open my ideas to other concepts or just make me more creative.

- Thanks :D

Watch a video by the band Tool.
The artwork/video production will definitely pique your curiosity, and enhance your creativivity.
Then watch the same song, but with lyrics the 2nd time.
Very deep and meaningful music.
If you view and read with an open mind, their music/art/lyrics will really lead you to think on a whole new level.

As for a book...
I just recently read a book that really made me look at the world a little differently.

The Epidemic - Robert Shaw M.D.
The rot of American Cuture,
Absentee and Permissive Parenting,
and the resultant plague of Joyless, Selfish Children

I have more but these are what I have read and been thinking about in the past week.

Just my 2 cents.
Take Care!

Necronomicon: The Best Weird Tales of H.P. Lovecraft

If that book doesn't give you ideas, there is something wrong with you :P

Stephen Donaldson's The First Chronicles of Thomas Covenant is also incredibly good. I have yet to read it, but I think Kristin Cashore's Graceling will also be very good and thought-provoking.

I was actually going to message you on MSN to get some titles, since you seem to read some cool books.

Thanks guys, keep them coming and I'll be sure to read up about them. :tu:

Looking for inspiration for music/art :]

Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz, and the ensuing series is the last lot of books I really got into.

Also try out Angela Carter: The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories. She takes traditional fairytales and turns them into something very different.

Are you talking about the video for the song "Prison Sex"? 'Cause that Tool video has always tripped me out D-:

I got a whole library of books here actually that needs my attention. Man, this is one thing I hate about being active online...

Anyway, just some of my favorites:

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Ecker
The Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren
How Full Is Your Bucket? by Tom Rath
How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
Pure Drivel by actor Steve Martin (this one is a pure riot :p )
Time Flies by Bill Cosby (hilarious)

I'll add more next time.
