bonnyplanet.com is up to $8,583 at TDNAM with 24 bids and 36 hours left:
https://www.tdnam.com/trpItemListing.aspx?&miid=11481354

I can't figure out what the appeal of this domain is. It's only a year old, has few backlinks, an alexa of 6 million, name is nothing special, is not archived.
TDNAM says traffic is 8651/mobth, but that's not very reliable.

Must be something I don't see.

Maybe the name "bonnyplanet" is associated with some thing on TV or something else in some country...

"Bonny is a town in Rivers State in southeast Nigeria, on the Bight of Biafra. Traditionally (especially between the 15th and 19th centuries) it was a major trading post of the Ijaw people. [1]. A small island located just offshore, Bonny Island, is a major export point for Nigerian oil being loaded onto tankers. [2]

The region produces a type of crude oil known as Bonny Light oil. Much of the oil extracted onshore in Rivers State is piped to Bonny for export."

And also a word used in Scotland
I think associated with babies as in bonny baby, and bonny lass.

Bonny is an extremely attractive word to anyone in the UK (mostly Scotland, some Ireland), as it means 'beautiful', 'pretty', like that. But it's in semicommon use anywhere that speaks English. The bids seem a little high, but I'm not surprised either. Obviously more than one person wants to create a serious project with it, this seems to be one of those dream situations where more than one 'motivated buyer', with a high bank account, wants a particular brandable name. Could be for a TV show, book or dvd series, large website project, etc. That's the only thing that seems to make sense for such high bids for this name, since it gets virtually no traffic and isn't a common term. My bet is there are two or more corps who want to make a serious project built around this name and are keeping the bids climbing.
