OK... So this is good news..
Patrick Stox from Search Engine Land has found a way to use Keyword Planner which will give you search results similar to what you use to get before google went and done the dirty deed by making it work like a broken toy..
The results you get are not exactly the same as before but you don't get the same results for variants of words like you are getting now.
As you know since the change you get the same number of search results for the singular and plural of words and other close variations..
So I don't think I can put links in my message but just go on google and do a - keyword planner - search and the link to his article should come up..
