Finally they were able to sell it at Sedo, it took them long enough, but this is a very decent price! :sold:

decent? I think its an infalted price, how can this domain be worth more than business.com?

blue.com sold for $500,000. business.com sold for 15-times that at a cool $7,500,000

Why not? Worth every penny.
It's just as long as fish.com (4 letters), just as memorable, with even more things it could be used for.

Probably why it sold for half the price, the name isn't very targeted.

yeah its been there for quite sometime. The owner put the name on 365days rotation on sedo's featured list and also been on "top domains" for a long period.
it seems like sedo wanted thsi name to be sold by them .

btw. i think its a fair offer. and i'm looking forward to see what the new owner about to do. i would be devastated if he just parked the name with sedo.

Does anyone else think its really possible that it wasn't AmEx that bought it? I would be completely shocked if it wasn't AmEx.

Would think the most likely buyer on a name such as this would be a domainer.

IMHO overpriced.

My bet is that it was bought by Blue Mountain - the e-card giant www.bluemountain.com

Time will tell.

Have to completely disagree with you on that. Although the domain is great, for a domainer to buy this as a spec deal just doesn't compute. It's not even such a great domain for type-ins. In my mind there is only one buyer that's going to drop a half mil for this and that's AmEx. We'll see soon enough.

If in a few months AmEx is promoting blue.com then we know its sold to them. Or check the name servers when the new owner changes them.

Congrates to the old and new owner of the name!

Im sure that DNJournal will mention this sale in their update today... and they will most likely know who it has been sold to!

Looking forward to it!

Is that sarcasm? And yes, you'd need deep pockets and solid plans for this domain if you were to purchase it :)
