Blogging tools

I've been receiving a lot of e-mails recently, in which the visitors of Web-Dev-Bookmarks were asking me about "essential" blogging tools, which seemed to be "as essential as all the other stuff you've got in your directory". Fair enough. However, I am not willing to introduce a list, which is based on my inadequate blogging experience.

Since I am a layman, observing the development of a blogging revolution with a healthy dose of skepticism, I guess it might be reasonable to create a list based on the comments of those who are the actual bloggers.

So, which blogging tools do you use? Which tools would you recommend? Share your experience with other bloggers and help beginners to find useful services and utilities you are using on a regular basis.

So I am waiting for your responds in this thread... :gl:

Oh, by the way, yes, it is my site, but I am searching for blogging tools so I thought it was a good idea to post it here. :p

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

If you have PHP and mySQL on your server, you can't do better than WordPress - simple install and lot's of nice plugins, plus it is easy to customize.
