Software for blogging..

Does anyone here know of any good stable blogging software?

We're currently developing a community site and we want to integrate some kind of blogging option. We'll gladly pay a few bucks if it's worth the $. It has to be able to deal with heavy traffic and loads of views/visits.

If anyone has any suggestion, please let us know
