Blizzard Of 06

Well the first snow storm of 06 hit us hard yesterday with a foot of snow by us and some other cities got 2 feet. I posted some pics of the after effects here, did you guys get any snow? We even got a snow day too from the storm since the roads were so bad.

You know you're from the south when you get 2 inches of snow, and college classes are canceled for the day. LOL

We got about 2 inches Friday night. Before that, we actually got snow last Monday night, that delayed classes last Tuesday. We then got even more snow than we did on Monday night again on Wednesday night, but this time classes were on normal schedule!!

Then on Friday night, as I said we got 2 inches of snow. Saturday and Sunday it snowed off and on, and last night we got a bit more. They said this morning that only morning classes were canceled. Then they made another announcement about 2 and 1/2 hours later saying classes were canceled all day! Good grief!

Of course, I played tackle foot ball on Saturday out on one of the practice soccer fields.

The northeast of the States got the most snow of around 2 feet. I'm guessing that's where he's from. Although this is the same storm that affected me.

Yeah I'm from the NE, in fact where I live we got hit the worst by the storm.

I was in two pretty massive blizzards in NY... one in 1966 and another in 1977.. both were pretty freakin' bad..

The blizzard in '77 created drifts you wouldn't believe! It took a bus I was on 7 hours to travel 3 miles!

Now that I'm in SW Missouri, if we get a dusting of snow, people begin to freak!

The back end of that nor'easter caused some snowfall here in Illinois, we got a few inches the other day.

Here in PA we got about 16 inches average, only a 2 hour delay from school...

Funny you should say that because only days before it was in the 40s and 50s and Friday it's supposed to be 52.
