discuss .Blackfriday extension

For the hell of it I was looking at the .Blackfriday extension seeing if there would actually be anyone dumb enough to buy it, and I was actually shocked. I looked up random words like bird.blackfriday, beer.blackfriday, and really just random dumb names, and couldn't believe it when I saw that not only did someone buy them, but they're selling them for $3,480.00!! And that extension sells for $49.99, lol. Am I missing something here, or have people just completely lost it?
