Biggest pet peeves

If you were teaching someone about websites and you had 1 thing you could tell them NOT to do, what would it be?

I limit it to 1 because I'm sure we could go all day, but what is your biggest?

#1 - Opening bg music

I CAN'T STAND opening bg music. When you're at work it really sucks to open a web page with engines roaring, or birds chirping or... UGH! If I want music, I'll play my own music!

I thought it was shorter. I click express checkout (or whatever it's called), and no ads, and I go straight to checkout now :-/

2. flash on standard websites, slow, takes longer to load and can probably do most of the effects with js/css
3. animated fire in a gif WHYYYYYYYYYY
4. "sorry you are not using microsoft internet explorer 5.5 or higher"
5. images that are resized with html not with photoshop
6. google search on non google pages

Personally, I love them ;)

(Mostly because they help pay the bills!)

when people take free website templates and put their copyright on them and say they made it, i also hate it when they even use free website templates, if you cant make ur own, u shouldnt have a website! unless you have a business or something

Would you like to download this virus or spyware now?

Are you sure you wouldn't like you computer infected?
No.
Please press Yes to mean no by not pressing yes if you actually mean no.

I HATE YOU!

It's a hard choice for this one. But I would have to say that I would say never ever, ever, ever use unvalidating code. The site could have a tons of popups, but I want that code to validate.
