How much has it made? How does it work?
The website made a few hundred quid when it was open for a few months last year. Big potential to make a lot of money with the right owner and time invested. Site makes money by the membership service or through selling advertisements. Members subscribe and receive an e-mail everyday with a few tips for horse races or football matches. Don’t worry if you don’t know anything about the sport I can direct you to a number of websites which you can use to get your information. Quite a lot of tipping services out there but there is always a trust issue with many people assuming they are all scams. By using a blog and video blogs you can create a much more personal and trustworthy service. That was the concept of the site when I created it and I believe it can work.
Why are you selling it?
I’m unable to operate such a business in my current employment (I work for the Police) I basically built the site and then found out that I had to get it approved by my work as a business interest and due to its nature it didn’t get approved. Therefore, it’s just been collecting dust for the best part of a year. Golden opportunity with the world cup underway and the new football season looming.
What’s included?
One of the best looking gambling blog designs on the Internet. Main page and 7 subpages designed by Custom Web Site Design & Graphic Design by 4design.tv. Custom icons and graphics used throughout. Also included is a newsletter design and e-mail templates. All the .psd and font files included. The website design alone cost something in the region of $2,500.
Complete forum skin by Custom Web Site Design & Graphic Design by 4design.tv. All the .psd and font files included. The forum skin set me back $850. Database of something like 8,000 members although mainly bots, I will clean this up for you but there is probably a couple of hundred real members from my memory.
Custom mascot design by Mascot design, logo design and webdesign - SOSFACTORY- Home. The mascot is supplied in vector format and can be used in print work. The mascot cost me $500.
Custom coding by one of the best php developers i’ve worked with. Website works in majority of browsers, IE7, Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome. It’s completely custom and not a script or template like other sites use. There are some nice features like the “featured articles” slider which is controlled from the wordpress backend. Also controlled from the backend is the “featured video” element. Twitter and RSS subscriber widgets are included along with phpadsnew to control your advertising campaigns. “Buy now” buttons are used on the advertising page and are linked directly to PayPal. There is also a secure order form on the membership page which is used for people to subscribe to the membership service. In some of the blog posts you may notice a “Buy Tip” button, this is a unique feature which allows visitors to buy a single tip rather than subscribe to the service for a one off payment. Once they pay the script e-mails them with the tip instantly. There is a backend where you can add, edit and delete tips etc. All files included in organised folders. Coding of the website cost me in the region of $500.

In total the website is worth about $5,000 - $6,000 based on the cost of the design, development and scripts etc. I’m looking for a quick sale so will entertain offers anywhere in the region of $3,000.
