Gambling blog covering sports betting and poker. The website was launched last year but was quickly put on the shelf due to a conflict of interests in my current job.
When the website was launched I had a dozen subscribers at $9.95/month, these members joined through advertising via a link in a signature on several gambling forums. I never paid for any advertising during the few months it was operational.

The site was inactive for most of last year and had been taken offline. During the last week the site has been back online I have had one new subscriber join (which i’ve had to refund) but it does show that even the very few people who visit the site through old links are interested in the service and are converting into paid subscribers.

There are other ways the site can generate revenue, through selling banner advertisements, text links or paid blog posts. There is also a nifty feature which allows you to sell ‘instant tips’, this is a custom script I had developed that attaches a ‘buy this tip’ button to a blog post and once the user has paid through PayPal they are automatically e-mailed the tip.

As you can see just by looking at the website it has an excellent design, IMO it’s the best designed gambling blog i’ve seen on the Internet, if you can find a better one I would certainly like to see it! The site was created by http://www.4design.tv and consists of 7 pages, a complete forum skin, newsletter design, mascot, banner set and lots more.

The whole design cost in excess of $3,000 alone!!!!!
All .PSDs, fonts and source files are included so it’s very easy to change anything on the design (such as the name).

Wordpress is used as the backend and has been significantly modified by my developer to include some nice features such as the ‘Featured Articles’ box at the top, the ‘Categories, Comments, Archives’ box at the bottom right and the ‘Featured Video’ box. The coding of the site was around $500.

Included in the website is a newsletter script powered by Aweber, subscribers can join the mailing list for free and are e-mailed a free eBook ‘Racing Secrets Exposed’ which was compiled by me. They are then on the mailing list for future newsletters. Aweber is $49 per quarter (I think) so if you don’t want to pay that you’ll need to find an alternative newsletter provider.

ALSO INCLUDED is an integrated advertising script which allows you to sell advertising space at the top and the sides, all of these banners can be rotated or static. There is a backend login available where advertisers can login and track their impressions and clicks etc.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST there is an affiliate script (worth $99) this is accessed from http://www.bigdavestar.com/affiliates/ and is setup and ready to run. Simply put, this allows other people to promote the membership service and receive a % of the fee.

As you can probably see i’ve put alot of work into this website and it’s a shame I have to sell it but it’s no use to me now and it’s just sitting there wasting away. I’m not going to sell this to just anyone. I want this to go to someone who can put the time and effort into it. I am under no illusions that a few hours a week posting fresh content, exchanging links and giving the odd free tip here and there would turn profit within no time.

Worst case scenario? Flip the site in 6 months and if you don’t double your money i’ll eat my poker chips...

Look forward to hearing from you and look forward to doing business soon.

Any questions welcome.
