When someone tells me they are thinking of starting a new domain conference I tell them "think of something else!" The conference calendar is already bursting at the seams and with only so many dollars to go around, any newcomer is bound to have a hard time attracting registrants.
Despite that, when I heard a new show was going to be staged during Mardi Gras in New Orleans I started looking for a flight. With its location in the great city on the Mississippi, its Mardi Gras backdrop and a seasoned group of domain pros at the helm, I figured that if any new conference had a chance to get a toehold at this late stage of the game, it would be this one.
