Big Deal for Dollars.com Tops This Week's Domain Sales Chart at DN Journal

The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. The highlight this week was a blockbuster sale involving Dollars.com, a name Rick Latona let go in one of the 6 largest sales reported so far in 2007. We also saw another wave of completed sales from last month's Moniker/T.R.A.F.F.I.C. auction in New York.

The .nets ruled the Global Contenders chart and one of those ranked among the top 7 GC sales so far this year. In the Country Code action, Sedo.com pulled off a first, taking every single entry on the Top 20 chart! That was even more impressive because 23 names were listed this week due to a 7-way tie for the final position. You can get all of the details here:

I am getting more and more impressed by the .net sales.

BrainCandy.net at $1600! Does anyone here think the .com would even sell for much more than that? I wonder if it was bought by the dotcom owner?

Advent.net $4777 .....not shabby at all. I really believe that we are seeing a valuation rise in the net area. IMHO it's nearing a 10%-20% ratio which last year many said it was a 5% ratio. The dot com is king but for some it's actually just too pricy and the many sub $xx,xxx sales in the net arena sort of shows that. It's risky to pay $xx,xxx or even $xxx,xxx for a dot com when you can get the net at a very reduced rate.
