.tv Big bill on dot tv wife hates me.

well i just paid another big bill for my domain names much to my wifes shock,this learning curve with domains is expensive but i think i have learned more about domains with dot tv then any other extension. how many of my names are good names i would not like to say ,but if i could start all over again ,it would be far better.my wife is giveing me a bit of grief tonight ,but maybe on day i can sell a name for good price and say i told you saw!
till then ill take the flack.
am off to pub for some peace.

Years ago, when I first started up with affiliate marketing, my wife used to give me SO much grief about the hours I was spending at night working on affiliate sites, and buying domains.

Then, one day, she got the mail, and actually saw one of my commission checks......... errrr, THAT was a mistake! It did, however, end the complaints from her side, once she understood my goal.

My loing term goal from my online biz:

I think she's okay with that.

The best thing you can do now (besides go to the pub) is spend time developing! It is a sure fire way to increase the value of your purchases and maybe you can start to recoup some of the investment. For the first year of domaining I really made nothing. Just enough to pay for some of the renewal cost. There definately is a learning curve. Buy some cheap hosting and setup alot of small sites with tons of ppc and affiliate links on it! Or at the least spend some time setting up a 1pus.net/ me.tv sites to get your names in search engines. If you leave your names just parked you may end up just letting them expire.

To make you feel better, with the domain sales I racked up over the past couple of weeks and the money I've made with my other internet companies.......I still get grief over domain purchases and starting another company.

My Visa Bill is going to BIG this month due to domains (again)
On the last bill i had the Scotland.tv fee of $6,750 and i swore then that i wouldnt buy anything else for a while..... BUT

3,4 weeks ago i seen a nice .tv at what i feel is a great price, spent a few weeks negotiating....etc So today i paid the bill, not as expensive as Scotland.tv but no far off.

I gotta stop buying or i will be homeless soon, or even worse i wont be able to afford my cable subscription!!!

I remember back in the day when .TV just started around 2000 or so I reged a few test domains at $50.00 each. I didnt expect to renew them the following year and I forgot to uncheck the auto renew ;( I noticed a $350.00 CC payment on my card. I was like WHAT!! LOL! Man I wish I bought LLL.coms then ;( would have made a fortune!

My wife told me no more "domain names", because we need new carpet, fix the garage, get a new mini-van for the kids. I decided that our mini-van is fine, our carpet is good, and our garage works great. I did not tell her that but she thinks I am spending my day getting estimates for all those items. Instead, I spend my day buying premium .tv names.

All hell is going to break lose in about 2 weeks when the credit card statement comes in. I told my friends I will probally need a place to stay after that.
I sure we will get back together when I make one of those XX,XXX sales though
