I wonder if other people have had experience with NS escrow service:

I try to minimize my business with NS because of their high prices and teriible service (my personal opinion of course...) but I still have domains there that I got through snapnames auction.
I got an offer through their "certified offer" system and accepted the offer. NS immediately transferred the domain to buyer, but for the last 3 months they would not get the money to me ( realu.com - $1500). I wrote numerous mails, talked to few reps and am repeatedly told " your check is on its way..." type of reply.
Any advice - how can you make them give me my money?
Needless say - I will never again agree to use their escrow....

You should get your money along with interest. This may be something you want to do a little bit of legal research on. If you can get some solid legal research to back up your argument, NS should be handling over your $1500 plus interest within the next week.

Most likely their TOS allows them to hold the money forever and never pay you a cent. Fortunately there are many laws to protect individuals from companies stealing their money and their TOS can't supersede those laws.

Send them a Letter of Demand by registered mail. This will almost certainly get their attention.

Make sure you include all of the history (i.e. sale date, any other actions or communication you have had with NS, etc.) as well.

I recently sold a domain through the service, and received the payment in about 2 weeks after the domain transfer. I'd start going up the chain of command there.

Just for frame of reference, does anyone know how fast are other escrow services getting payment to the seller?

Sedo sent me mine within a week of confirmation of domain transfer.

I have used their service and received the check in less than two weeks. Has anyone else had problems dealing with Network Solutions certified offers?

I have sold a name through Network Solutions

I have sold a name through Network Solutions. I found them very good to work with. I am very happy.
I am located in Australia and the cheque arrived within 2 weeks.
The only thing I would like to see changed is payment by direct credit to a bank account made available.

I am very happy with Network Solutions.

I hope that you can get this matter sorted out very soon.

You're not in the US, right?
Any chance of shipping issues?
They couldn't just keep telling you "the check is coming" (Well, I suppose they could...), do they not provide any reason for the delay?

Escrow.com is about 24 hours for a T/T. I wouldn't even consider using using anyone else. Especially a company that wants to send me a cheque on the slow boat to China.

With an anonymous and reasonable offer from NSI, you don't have a choice to pick escrow.com. You don't know the buyer and NSI isn't going to tell you. You either accept their service or pass on the sale.

On my recent sale, I couldn't pass. I had the domain listed for $250 on my own site. I got an offer of something like $400, so I knew they hadn't seem my site. I counter with $850 and it was accepted. For that, I could risk the wait of a few weeks or even a month for payment. To top that off, there was no escrow or paypal fee for me to reduce the sale by!
