Looking for a solution where a buyer can make structured payments while a domain is in escrow. We own domain, they get to use it in meantime. Any solutions for this? I know escrow.com had somethign similar at one point, I believe, but I'm hearing only negative things about them nowadays.

Hi

basically, a lease to own agreement serves same purpose

you can write your own or use a template

have buyer pay monthly via paypal if you want

imo...

No buyer is going to randomly paypal money month after month in the hopes the seller keeps up their end of the bargain without issue. I believe that is why taktikz is looking for something structured.

Ecop promotes payment plans with their escrow service. Epik has lease contract that allows you to add any terms you wish, so you can just convert it into a lease to own contract.

Hi

if you haven't done it, then don't say what a buyer won't do

i have, and i know others who have as well.

I have had many buyers pay me on a payment plan using Paypal. They had no problem waiting to get ownership of the domain because they got use of it right away.

So you are going to tell me, you would send paypal payments every month for a year or two, to someone you don't really know and don't trust...and simply hope they keep up their end of the bargain? Because I honestly don't believe most buyers would be that trusting. You likely knew the sellers or had previous deals with them.

have collected payments for up to 3 years via paypal, from people i never knew previously.

when they want the name and can't pay total upfront and you offer a viable option, some will take it.

imo....

And out of curiosity, did you do that as a company or as just a random individual?
