There is no single asian language, that's one of its main drawbacks! :red: :imho:
I'm avoiding the extension altogether, IMHO.

Asia is a spanish, italian, romanian, portuguese word too, not only an english one. More than 1 billion of people use the word Asia.
Now it's not very important the place where the community should be, neither the use of asian languages.

Only Asian languages using Latin alphabet like Vietnamese.

But French Polynesia is a lot closer to Australian continent and New Zealand. And New Zealand has close indigenous cultural links with French Polynesia rather than Asian.

If you look at the location of French Polynesia, you'll see Australia in the West and New Zealand in the southwest and South American continent in the East. And the Asian continent is way up to the northwest.

Vietnam used to be a France colony.

Malaysia a former colony of UK.

Philippines former colony of Spain and USA.

I have Indonesian friends and we converse in English.

So using English for your .asia domains is okay.

By the way, anti .asia guys keeps repeating themselves like a broken record in every .asia related threads. :)

English is OK, of course.

French content for Vietnamese in 99% cases non-sense...

Ha Ha Ha, LOL :D

Tahiti is so small island and they speak tahitian and french not chinese, I don't know where did you found that they speak chinese, also they might have chinese community like any place in the world but it's really not whom you'll target with a dot asia.

No, seriously, it's rather Chinese or english the best language for dot asia.
