Another 'reason' for the 'best extension', which is .top in my eyes, is the fact that there is existing a 'top symbol' / 'emoji' which is included in the biggest and most used instant messaging systems:

I know that many people, especially those of the younger generations, use this symbol daily in their instant messagings on their smartphones via FB, WHATSAPP, SNAPCHAT and so on - so the term 'top' becomes more and more a very popular and beloved word with a positive message worldwide.
