What is your favorite professional domain valuation service? I'm looking for two factors:
- value for money
- recognition by potential bidders (i.e. not Estibot)
Your choice of service will probably depend on the value of the domain. Paying $29 for a Sedo valuation is an insignificant expense if you have a $xx,xxx domain, but a waste of money if your domain is $xx. I'm looking realistically at high $xx or low $xxx domains.
If you are talking about names that YOU feel are under the mid $$$ range
then I would suggest you consider using godaddy's low priced appraisals
($4.99) and get a name for $1.99. The appraisal is by a powerhouse in
the industry and if your buyer believes in appraisals then you will have
them on file at GD.
Otherwise you can use:
Estibot[]com
As an excellent tool to evaluate the names for your self.
EB gives you a good range of info to glean from.
NameBio[]com
NB gives you a good history of names you can compare to
your in likeness or similarities.
DNjournal[]com
DNJ has a great history of name sales and tons of other info
for domainers to use for comparisons.
NamePros[]com
You can ask for an appraisal and if the name is a viable
play then you will get appraised. A non-response by the
members as a whole is indicative of a bad/poor review.
Swiftappraisal[]com.
This is SEDO's free tool. You control the name variables
during your search and can see the value effect as you
change the variables a bit.
Good luck
