What are the best domain extension?

With .com being the first, obviously... What domain extensions hold the most value?
What are easiest to sell? And what new domain names could be considered better than the others?

    Thank you!

Hey Wiz...of course .com is king, and will be for years to come, but I think some of the new nTLD's will take over the likes of .net, and maybe even .org. While I own a portfolio of about 400 .coms, I'm most excited about my portfolio of 500 nTLD's of which .today, .live, .click, .life, tv and .gives are most popular. Via the Domain Revolution I'm organizing, I plan on giving some of my domains away "if" end users will agree to use them. My reward will come later, and I'll be paid back handsomely:xf.wink:

Depends on the audience your targeting. geographical then cctld. For popular keywords there maybe many extensions or you can try can get a piece of the pie being the search engines with gtld type in.

First if was (dot) info because they were dam cheap..100 domains for around $100 back then, reality kicked in ..renewal fees! Keep a few!

Then after that lesson, became com, net, org.

Today's com, ca (cause I am a Canadian) and short names (mainly 3 character) nets and org and I try to stick to a niche that I know and within my budget...

Note: I rarely try to sell, most are part of my long term portfolio
