There's a domain in godaddy that is in redeption period. I want to try to get it, but, from what I understand, godaddy's backorder service is not the way to go. Plus, they do not give you the $19 USD back if the don't grab your domain!

So far, I've identified these backorder sites as the best:

Pool.com
Snapnames.com
Enom.com
NameWinners.com

As far as I know, they all give you your money back if they don't grab your domain.

Is there anymore I should add to the list? (Should I delete any?)

Never heard that before. Is this common with them?

If you don't win the domain, you get your money back, right?

It truthfully depends on the Domain, but 99% of all "decent" domains NEVER hit the actual "drop market."

If it's on GoDaddy Redemption Period, watch for it to run through TDNam.com. All GoDaddy domains that expire run through here first before being released. Backordering there only assures you a $10 minimum bid, but you can lose out to anyone else that bids after you.

SnapNames.com, eNom.com, and certain Tucows resellers also have deals cooked up so that, if certain domain names near there delete period, they are auctioned off at these places before ever being available for backorder.

If it does go through to the actual "Pending Delete" stage (which almost always means its been passed over by just about everyone once, unless the name was registered at an off registrar), you can try a combination of Pool.com (I've never had a problem with them personally), Snapnames.com, and eNom.com Club Drop (all refund if they aren't successful acquiring the name). Other backorder services exists (ie GoDaddy), but I've found them to be pretty useless. Every name I've tried to acquire with Pool.com, Snapnames.com, or eNom.com was either acquired by them or by a registrar in business to acquire domains privately... GoDaddy has never beaten them out for any "true drop" domains I've gone after within the last 18 months.

Hope this helps.

That helps a lot. Thanks for the details.
