Which is the best or highest regarded (in the industry) for domain appraisal? REason for asking this is that if I get my domain certified by the most regarded appraisal, I'll be more confident to sell the domain at a certain benchmark price. Any suggestions? thanks

None.
sedo does 'em
afternic does 'em
godaddy does 'em
But the "appraisal" isn't worth anything more than what you lose in paying for them.
If you really want someone else' opinion, post in the forum here, or use any of our own paid services for someone who thinks objectively instead of having another duck in the marsh (Like sedo wanting you to list/sell depending on the timing). ie: http://www.ValuateIt.com (disclaimer: mine).
If someone via email has asked you for an appraisal, it's a scam, don't do it. Use the "search" function here to see more.

You forgot to mention Moniker!

Their appraisals are the most respected in the industry, why?
Because there appraisals are the only ones in the industry that are accepted by the IRS for tax donation and charitable donations. They have been doing appraisal longer than any other company so they have a vast experience. Furthermore every name gets reviewed by Monikers founder and CEO Monte Cahn, no automated software here!

Having said that... A domain name is in the end only worth what the buyer is willing to pay. No appraisal is written in stone. It's just a guideline and it's subjective by nature.

But it IS a good indicator to establish a realistic price range, are we talking $xx, $xxx, $xxxx or even $xxxxxx. I used Monikers appraisal to help me set the minimum offer price for some of my domains that i submitted to the upcoming TRAFFIC West Auction in March.

Hope this helps :)

Best Wishes

If you want paid appraisals go to the known sites such as SEDO or Afternic so you avoid being scammed by scamming appraisal sites.
