Don't know why I was thinking the exact same thing. It is a wonderful domain but instantly made me think of a correlation to Bacon.

One of my clients from the past was a company called Beacon International so I am familiar with the name.

Could well have been about audio beacons. You can use those ultrasound beacons for lots of things.
