I just got cancelled from godaddy parking after 2+ months and them owing me $1,000. Had a click thru rate of 25-30% on a typo.

I called them and the doofus I talked to says I couldn't get a 1000 visitors a day on my (50% generated income domain) w/o a bot or some other weird click activity. Also says "type-in traffic" is minimal on domains in general and and that even if people go there accidentally they would click the back button before they would click on any ad. With one fell swoop he discounted the whole parking industry. People actually do click or there would no parking services. It was difficult to speak with him (like trying to explain parking to your kid brother), so I asked for the manager-- he sent me to a voicemail.

Heck, I have had adsense on it before had it at sedo with no problem. I experimented and tried godaddy parking and was making as much as adsense so I just left it there. "Set it and forget it"

I don't really care except for the fact they kept all my earnings along with the implication of fraud on nickel clicks.

I've had adsense since 2003, ypn for a few years. Never booted from any.

I do all my hosting and have 250+ domains there.
Strange parking outfit there.

With godaddy it appears that it's best not to get high click-thru rates and not many type-ins as they don't believe in them.

The termination of the service is done in accordance with the above
mentioned Agreement. Cash Parking is designed to give you a share in
the revenues and Click Through Rates generated by "Natural Traffic".
A recent review of traffic reports indicated that all or some of your
domains were involved in fraudulent amounts of Click Through traffic
or other fraudulent traffic patterns. The non-randomness of these
patterns showed that the traffic was deliberate and represented non-
natural or non-human traffic.

Under the terms of the Agreement for this service, "GoDaddy.com, Inc.
specifically reserves the right to require the forfeiture of any
previously earned revenue in connection with the Services, which has
yet to be paid." We also "reserve the right and sole discretion to...terminate Your use of the Services".

Isn't it a waste of money to pay to park?

They don't recognize a lot of type-ins ????????. That makes no sense in my domaining view....

It's sometimes free if you sign up for a non-domain service, but they hold your money for something ridiculous like 45 days. I have never received a check from them and my balance is over $80.

LOL, nice to see that Godaddy has people working there who understand domains.

I have never used Godaddy, and after reading this I never will.

Paying for parking ... LOL!

The OP should sue them, and then demand via subpoenas parking data from GoDaddy. That alone might be enough to encourage GoDaddy to settle, or at least, maybe, cost them more than $1K in wasted time and hassles.

Or more simply file a case in small claims court (preferribly in a location where GoDaddy physically does business, though not a requirement) for the $1K.

Since you paid GoDaddy for services which weren't received in true faith, you can dispute the charge with your credit card company. You should also demand your traffic report. If they don't refund your cash or provide traffic reports, please write to the Better Business Bureau for business malpractices.

It's sad to see them come up with frivolous excuses when its time to pay you, after having made you to pay them for parking (which itself is a joke). I would never do business with this company.

So true ... the other parking companies forfeit revenues too in instances where they feel fraud has occurred.

However, the key difference here is that GoDaddy's reputation for deception is well known (ie. 60 day registrar hold for merely changing the registrant field in whois, suspending domains for no good reason, etc) and thus brings into question whether GoDaddy's forfeiting of OPs parking revenues was justifiable or not.

If you are like me, you will get zero sympathy from GoDaddy executives. Their favorite line is, "We apologize if you find this to be inconvenient, but this matter will
not be considered further."

@domagon haha when they feel, Every customer bind their feelness ,if they feel bad no real earned money. And it is a big question when they forfeit customers revenue , the money where goes ? a question mark ? did you hear any inspector gone for search unpaid revenues?

I have a hosting account with Godaddy and so far, so good.

BUT. When it comes to parking, I totally agree with Domagon. Why on earth would I have to pay for the privilege to park my domains with them when there plenty of 'free' options. It would have been convenient to park with them, but it all seems such a total rort.

Their parking is just a Rip Off. They are fooling the new domainers and the naive ones into paying for parking.
