Incredible name! I dream of the day I can afford to spend 110k on domains! I think you got it at a good price to be honest. There are sveral large corporations that use that name already- my first thoughts were of a popular upmarket shoe/footwear company here in the UK. Its got such a great brandable sound and so many applications I think this domain will make you very happy you bought it! Good luck! I'm sure you don't need my opinion but I would say current end user could part with 200000 for it at present, but that will rise at an alrming rate over the next 3-5 years. Congratulations!

A great name for sure, the first thing I thought of when I saw this was "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" hehe... I am not sure if everyone here remembers that...

But seriosuly, I think Base.com is better than these:

Jasmin.com $310k

Jail.com $110k

So I think it was a good buy, the right end user will pay lots for it...

If the 2k unique visitors/day traffic has been stable from many months, I would value it around high xx,xxx to low xxx,xxx. Also, a good point about the domain having value due to its potential for very nice sub-domains like military.base.com, google.base.com, etc.

I have a gut feeling that the $110K sales price hit the right sweet spot for this name. The seller got a fair price and the buyer got a good deal for a domain w/ income potential that far outdistances the amt invested. The best of both worlds.

I have to agree with Grrilla. Seller got a great price and the buyer has the potential to double his money.

I don't quite follow, if the seller got a "great price" surely the buyer has little chance of selling it for more?, on the flip side if the buyer has potential to sell it for double then I would think the seller got a lousy price?

Low XX,XXX....sorry I don't agree with consensus, but name is vague and according to fledgling research holds high attention to "ace of base" (old 90's group)and "military base"...current keyword "base" listing is a high .10 via google, but brand it and see what happens.
