domain BankInteractive.com Accept mid $xxxx offer?

Hi I've had a broker offer me mid $xxxx for BankInteractive.com. Just wondering if you thought this was reasonable. I'm fairly new to this biz & this would be my first sale.

Check the name of the person or company offering this first as there are a lot of active scams out there targetting new users.

I certainly doubt that price for a low value domain but if it's genuine I'd snap his arm off as stranger things do happen.

Make sure also you arn't asked to pay for a valuation. There are a few scam threads on the boards here.

I would take it. Will give you a nice start, and you can reinvest in new domains

Regarding scams, I`m in the process of selling a domain in the same price class, mid xxxx. Is it recommendable to use one of the larger domain registrars for the transaction, just to have an escrow service, or are there better ways to do the transaction.

considering the domain has been registered for 4 days, and all other extensions are available, a 4 figure offer seems very out of the ordinary. Did you back order it?

Theres a 99.99 % chance theat this is the infamous appraisal scam.
If you are very lucky and hit the .01 % chance of this being a genuine offer, grab it with both hands :imho:

If that offer is real you should instantly take it. However, I am guessing more than likely it is the famous appraisal scam.

Thanks everybody. I've gotten a few of those scam emails where they needed the domain appraised first & they'll transfer the money to paypal immediately, blah blah blah & I picked up on it all right away. This one just seemed different but I'm doing as much background checking as possible and asked them to make me the offer through Sedo. Can you still get scammed through Sedo?

I've sold a few domains through SEDO and have never had a problem. Of course the $50 off the top is a hit but what can you do.

Are they saying they represent a company and also asking if or what other domains you have?
I had a scam mail and it wasn't one of the names listed here.

I think Sedo is a little safer or Escrow but don't pay anything or release the domain until funds are in place.
Just be extra cautious.

The 'broker' never placed a bid through Sedo like I asked. It was a scam. A website they directed me to for an 'appraisal' was a dead link. I've gotten numerous PM's from people saying companies are offering $5000 for a domain then requesting an appraisal... bogus! Welcome to the biz I guess! Haha I'm not that stupid! Soooo who wants to give me $5000 for BankInteractive.com! :lol:

Sorry to hear that but at least everything is safe and where it should be, ie your money and Domain so a result after all

As for a new buyer, well I happen to have some very very very rare Monopoly Money hat has been valued at $10,000k but I'll let you have it for 5K if you throw in the domain name too!:hehe: :sold:
