So you get an offer, then sell the domain to the buyer.

If you have another domain and it's very similar or maybe even better but they didn't know do you...

A. Tell the buyer up front and see if they want it?

B. Wait until the sale is done, then tell them and see if they want it?

C. Never tell them and wait to see if someday they randomly make an offer?

D. Develop a competing website then sell later for much more?

E. Find and contact a competitor of the buyer and offer it to them?

F. Gift it to them at no charge?

Just looking to see what others do.

I used to run a Mercedes-Benz franchise...

First rule of thumb was... always sell what they inquired about. If you present too many choices you don't get the sale. If they ended up noticing the car was too small then they can always trade up to a bigger one.

Grab the first sale, once it closes look at the second.

Correct answer is B

It would depend on how valuable the other domain is....and what prices we're talking about.

But I would start by selling them what they wanted initially. Maybe contact them about the better domain after 6 months .

If a buyer has already made a decision and bought your product, then the deal is done, especially in this industry because a name is a name and the buyer liked that particular name the way it is and bought it, deal done , that is it. I would just move on and carry on doing my business as usual and wait for the next customer/sale
So my answer is : non of the above

Stay quiet, If it was an inbound offer/request. It only starts muddying the waters if you introduce another element to the transaction. Outbound is different I think it a bit underhand to try and sell say a Country Code, but, not mention you also hold the .com.

I can think of a couple of cases where I have sold the UK domain and not even been asked about the com, again inbound enquires

when it comes to spelling or just the domain term. I think you have to play each case by ear. Think of it like car-sales, If somebody admires the car on your forecourt and wants to pay the asking price, why say I've got two more in better condition around the back.

B. Wait until the sale is done, then tell them and see if they want it!

you might want to offer it for 60% of the sales price
and called it a "bonus"

done so and worked
but do so without much time delay

B - to many options can ruin the sale. If you present another option to the buyer before the deal is done, he could get distracted with new ideas and at the end he could decide for a third option which is not yours.
