Hello everyone,

I've just recently backordered my first domain name. It was a name that I was interested in that was set to expire on Sept. 7th, which I believe it did expire.

The name is registered at eNom. I noticed that the whois was updated on the 7th and the new expiration is now in 2010, but the domain now points to an eNom parking page.

If I backordered the domain through Snapnames, do I still have a chance of getting it? Or did eNom take control and ownership of the domain?

Any insight into this is much appreciated. Thanks.

Scott, Place your backorder at NameJet.com as eNom is partnered with them and sends expired domains exclusively to them for auction.

Not every expired domain makes it to auction as some get renewed and the bad practice of the registrar keeping the domain does happen, but the domain "should" hit the pre-release section on NameJet.

Yes, I guess the domain is under ENom control. I am sure the they will extended the RGP period for the domain name/.
