Any experience with pros and cons of backlink generators?

I don't think they are very good in the present google meta because they can get flagged and derank your website for spam. I think they worked better 3-4 years ago.

Backlinks still works and it has greater ability to drive more traffic to your website, your just need to be authentic and unique.
