Baby With Cobra Video

I have no idea where this was filmed and either the cobra was used to being handled or, as is sometimes the case, had it’s lips sewn shut.. either way, this is downright scary seeing this toddler interact with a potentially deadly cobra. Watch video as posted on LiveLeak:

The lips had to have been sewn together, because the thing struck the baby at least 4 times and the baby didnt even flinch...

Alot of snakes will do whatever they can to bluff an attacker first and may even make a few dry bites (no venom) before they'll actually inject venom. This one looked pretty reticent at first.. wasn't until the baby grabbed hold that it looked really upset.

When I lived in South Florida as a kid I used to catch snakes and sell them to pet shops.. the same snakes that used to sell for $5 or so then (yellow rat snakes, for example) are being sold around $80 now.. time to make a run to Miami

Maybe I should start a carrer as a snake charmer ? :blink:

i saw this video on liveleak.com, and it kind of disturbed me. Even if it was defanged or whatever, why put it next to an innocent baby? It just irked me. I love liveleak. i go there everyday to get my dose of interesting videos. Did anyone else see the chinese gang video attack on the bus? i thought that was kind of funny.

Why would anyone even chance risking that babies life like that. Sick people will do anything for a clip on those sites.

Worst part about it all is it seems those people are even laughing here and there about it.

My guess is that family regularly interacts with cobras (snake charmers, perhaps) and they are trying to acclimate the baby to being around the snakes.. problem is: that baby is not going to be able to tell the difference between a "safe" cobra and a wild one.

yeah wait till that baby finds one crawling by and trys to play with it they wont be laughing then.
