Seems like there's a lot of news lately, as recently as the last few days, of advances in driverless & autonomous cars. There are multiple auto makers getting ready to launch some form of these cars, and of course, Google is working on their project car.

I have a handful of domains related to this news & technology, and I am wondering if anybody else has any? Also, any spike in traffic to your domains, or news of sales???

Elon Musk: more than half of new vehicles will be electric and almost all autonomous in the US within 10 years

Evidently, Tesla is trying to be ahead of the curve on both fronts. Of course, all of Tesla’s vehicles are already electric, but the company also considers all its current new vehicles to support fully self-driving.

The vehicles produced by Tesla since October 2016 are equipped with a sensor suite and onboard computer that the automaker believes will support fully autonomous driving. They are currently working on the software, which they plan to send to the fleet over-the-air at some point in the future and make all their vehicles produced since last year fully autonomous.

Most other automakers have timelines ranging from 2019 to 2025 for their first autonomous vehicles, but plans to make all vehicle production autonomous are rarer. Same goes for electric vehicle production. Most automakers are currently guiding 20 to 40% of their production to be electric on Musk’s “over than 50%” timeline.

Silicon Valley's steady march toward self-driving cars took another step forward Friday as the ride-hailing company Lyft said its customers will be able to summon a driverless vehicle on some roads by the end of the year.

The autonomy program, which is expected to launch in Boston before eventually spreading to other cities, could ultimately involve hundreds of thousands of vehicles, said company officials. Depending on the precise conditions of a trip — including the route, traffic, weather and time of day — riders who opt into the trial may be automatically picked up in a self-driving car built by one of a number of manufacturers working with Lyft, rather than a human driver.

“You're going to see it. You're going to see these vehicles on the street,” said Taggart Matthiesen, Lyft's senior director of product.
