Augmented Reality (AR) domains

Last night I ignored the urge to register SpaceShipThree.com , and today the .com .net .org and .whatnot is all taken.

Today I decided to redeem myself and find another good dn investment. After a bit of investigation I discovered the huge potential of Augmented Reality: Google Trends: augmented reality . The estimated AR market size in 2014 is $732,000,000 , especially in AR marketing.

I think adverts and billboards shown as augmented reality on mobiles will become simply huge, and so I decided to get a piece of the pie, all new .com registrations:

ar+
advert
adverts
billboard
billboards
registrar

There are still a lot of possibilities available, so I thought I'd share this so you can also get a piece of the action :santa:

Sounds like an obvious "the sky is blue" type of comment... Of course, AR will flourish on mobile phones first... Duh... Everyone already has a phone, and successful AR apps like Pokemon Go are already out in the ecosystem. Once other form factors are introduced - and people get used to them - then IMO AR will grow into them just fine... (For instance, Skully just introduced their AR-1 motorcycle helmet - People are eventually going to get used to consuming AR content on their vizors / windshields / glasses / windows, and successful apps will naturally follow - The new form factors just have to get out there first...) IMO, the important take-away here is: 1) We have our first "killer app" in AR, so the business case has now been made for the tech; And 2) As @eladnof noted we now have a "business case" for our AR related domains... (And that's the really important part, after all! :))

My thoughts are that the internet we know will have evolved into something else long before/if ever it is going to be mainstream with the new TLDs.

Purchased my first AR name, since the huge success of Pokemon Go. I saw AR dot Casino was available, then secured the .com version.

I imagine casino games will be just as big in AR as VR, e.g. turning your living room into a mini casino (with slot machines, roulette table, poker table, big wheel, etc.) or even playing a casino game whilst waiting at the bus stop (whilst still being able to see the world around you, unlike in VR), or in a car or plane journey turning the back of a chair into a slot machine whilst still being able to look out of the window now and again, or just about anywhere...

Also there is a way to develop websites for AR, so this could be an option:
