I've just had 20 articles written for a marketing idea - they have turned out much better than i expected (though not good enough for my site) and i am looking to submit them to some of the free content article sites and have a few questions.

1) do the SE's look at links from these sites as Spammy?
2) Do you submit to the hundreds out there or should you be picky - is any strategy more successful than the other?
3) Does anyone know of someone who offers this service (at a realistic price?)
4) I've found this list - it seems ample to me http://www.vretoolbar.com/articles/directories.php - does anyone have any thoughts on the ones included - is this enough?

Thanks for any replies.

Hmm I don't know, but what I normally think tells me that even if you submit it to one directory they do allow people to use it on their site if they mention the source. [So they also get one link]

Thus it isn't going to be a unique article anymore on that directory.

So why not yourself just submit it to all :)

Hey Staffjam, Good questions.

1) No, I've seen fantastic results using article marketing
2) Although there are hundreds, I would pick between 50-100 and focus on those, as all the rest are hardly worth it.
3) My business does article submissions, feel free to PM me.
4) That list isn't bad, those are about the 50 best

I will suggest to submit to only 10 or so top [high PR] article directories. I have submitted articles to 100's of directories but the results were disappointing.

I agree with angilina, just submit your articles first in top 10 article directories like enzine and article base. And don't forget to put some links that is connected in your blogs because it can help gain some traffic one way or another. :)

I usually submit each article to 7 or 8 of the main directories. They usually then filter through to enough other websites from there.

If you have unique content you can publish them on your site. Then additionally you can attract traffic from submitting to article directories. Ezarticles is the best article site. You can submit to other article sites for backlinks.

Power of articles

I've noticed that some articles appear in the top ten for search results so I would not fear search engines penalizing them.

You can add link in the article, and i think you should not submit one article to so many article sites.Unique contnet is important.

You will be penalized only if Google will found same articles twice in a directory. So submit to ass many directories you can.
