Dacrobat, I understand and agree with all that, it is entirely expected. I was expanding more on what Equity was asking for versus bashing the low sales.....
A few here have said yes, they are looking, but they haven't given specifics. I was just commenting that in order to get a firm idea of what is being bought, it would be a nice thought to see specifically what people are looking for.
Yes, as soon as someone posts a "I am looking for x" then there will always be people that if they don't have a name will go out and register names. This is a bit foolish because a domainer will look to see when it was reg'd. If it was that day, then chances are the person selling reg'd it specifically for that request. Which is entirely silly because the person making the request was already out looking and for names for registration and didn't find one, that's why they asked.
My opinion is that if someone wants something, and you don't have it in your portfolio, don't go searching for a new name because it has already been looked for.
What I am guess i am trying to say is.......if the people in this thread that are saying they are buying are actually intersted in buying names over $100, then what specifically are they looking for. Between all of us here, there is surely someone who has what you may be looking for and is willing to sell.
From a market perspective, I do understand the cyclical nature of this beast, and I am here for the long haul. The best way to start that next phase of rebound is start a mini-market, if you will, here at namepros. Eventually others will trickle in as well, and the rebound will start to happen.
Unless, of course, what you were saying is that the rebound won't happen for another couple of years, which would really be bad since tv has been around for so long and the new blood of demand media re-launch didn't really kick start too much since they aren't marketing to end users.
So......if you are indeed looking to buy, what is it you are looking for? If you don't know, then it is hardly really like you are a buyer, more of a bargain hunter.
