Are these sales invented?

I came accross this page: http://www.afternic.com/names.php?c=0&sold=1&adult=2

It lists domain names that were sold. It seems highly overpriced. I mean, there is a ton of rubbish domain names that could have been easily dropped and that were sold for $1,000+ is this serious? It seems it's done to attract potential sellers, isn't it?

Real sales -
Afternic got feedback that they should only list sites that they can verify sold for the actual amount (So escrow only, I believe). Since then, it seems to be accurate as any other list.
