Are .nu domains any good ?

Are .nu domains any good ? How would you rate these domains, are they worth anything. One of my hosts rate .nu right under .info, so the list looks like this:

1. com
2. net
3. org
4. biz
5. info
6. nu

My order would be .com > .net > .org > .info > .biz
Sorry .nu is not in the list. The only ccTld I like are .ws and .cc.

I used to see some .nu domains in the past being used.

Lately they appear to have gone the way of the dinos.

My personal preference: .com > .net > .info > .us > .org > .tv > .biz

As for .nu, it could be (and is) used for Swedish websites, because "nu" is "now" in Swedish. See sverige.nu, temperatur.nu. Other than that, I don't see much use for it.

.de, .co.uk are the biggest cctld's with .in/.co.in and .us getting honourable mentions

outside of those the name has to be really good to consider regging it

tho i do confess to having a .nu, banking.nu, but imo the keyword is strong enough for the extension

The thing about .nu domains is that they are mostly popolar in the scandinavian countries, since nu means now in danish/norwegian/swedish, so a word like bet which is english would not be worth much, but I think wii would be worth more than 500 dollars, since wii is an international for the same product. I´m not sure though, that´s why I´m asking.

I have a .nu mainly because I think it sounds cool :p. But to be honest, that's pretty much what all of them are based on outside the main ones, I don't think there is much difference between them. That's from a webmasters point of view though, for a domain dealer they are pretty worthless.

I did some research - apparently .nu is the 2nd most used domain extension in the scandinavian countries beside their own country extension, so good keywords should be worth quite a bit.

"nu" is also 'now' in Dutch, so in Holland you will also see them appear now and then.

I find them a bit too expensive. The only Pacific extention truely worth the cash, is and remains .TV
