1) I like domain hacks which are pronounceable and pass radio test. You often see such hack sales..

Example:
Network => Net.Work => Pronounced "Net Dot Work"
Nightclub => Night.Club => Pronounced Night Dot Club

2) I am not a big fan and see end user confusion in other type of domain hacks like. They can be used for social media links and promotions but dont see mainstream usage.

Examples:
Designers => Designe.rs => Pronounced how ? Designe Dot RS
Delicious => Del.icio.us => they eventually changed name to delicious.com . had lot of leaking traffic and user confusion.

Just my 2 cents:

Can a company sue for trademark if we register their name in hacks? For example, registering samsu.ng would mean we only registered the term samsu under the ccTLD of Nigeria. Unless samsu is trademarked by samsung, they can't claim rights over samsu.ng, right?

Note: This is a question, I am not claiming that they can or cannot claim TM over hacks, I am having a doubt please do clarify as it would help many others as well. Thank You.

@Dineshkp If i remember right Pepsi bought pep.si for a good $18k

But some might feel its TM issues. Anyways it gives you a chance for just 1 buyer. So better to invest in domains that can have good end-users and not get into trouble
