I know there are around 14k domain names in the format cvcv.net available. I also know that if the .com and .org version of a domain is developed and/or used this also increases the domain's value.

So, what do you guys think? Are these domain types still valuable. What would be a good asking price for a CVCV.net that isn't an english word but it could be a name? (not containing pseudo vowels like "y")

Random cvcv.net with no meaning is reg fee- 2x reg fee max.

A cvcv.net which contains a term which has commercial value, eg. buya.net, the value would be higher than 2x reg fee. Cvcv combinations are not all the same in appeal, and not all will share the same brandability.

The time when cvcv.net will have much higher value, is only once there is a llll.net buyout which is sustained, and llll.net it becomes used by more and more end-users and a demand for llll.net as a whole increases significantly. In such a scenario, end-users may opt for llll which may not have cvcv combinations at all! E.g., mcar, etc... the same way we would go after .com in current times. When the decent llll.net are in the hands of end-users-then perhaps will we see people going after "brandable" combinations which may not necessarily have any meaning. This is when cvcv.net may improve in value... This is not anytime soon.

I have some nice llll.net, in my opinion, but they are not cvcv.net... they actually brandable terms.

I don't have many, but the ones I have, I can say I am happy to keep.

The "cvcv" story has been over-hyped.

I think any CVCV.net that doesn't contain a "y" is worth paying reg. fee for..There is still some demand for them and some of them are still drop caught but if you can pick these up for reg fee they're worth it. Don't expect a quick big turnaround on them though. Be prepared to potentially renew them a few times.

CVCV.net's that contain a "y" I would stay away from unless they actually spelled something like stay or away, lol
