I am curious. Would any of you spend $1.00 or so on cheap extensions like .Christmas with a one word Keyword with hopes of reselling it for $100? Say Blockchain.Christmas was hypothetically available for $1. Would you handregister it & try to sell it for $100?

I actually typed out a super long reply the other day for someone that sounded like they were talking about the quick flip game (Use a $1 promo and flip it within 90 days for a profit). It sounds like you might be referring to the same principle, but with a longer hold option at the same investment price-point.

Rather than type it all out again, in case you're interested, I'll link to it here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/ho...t-with-xxx-in-a-few-days.1366651/post-9483875

Over the years, I've done it a few times, but it was a lot to manage in bulk.

I would not buy any domain that I hoped to sell for only $100, in any price range or extension.

The math doesn't really work as an investment.

Agreed... it seems every time i successfully did it in bulk batches over the years, it was all in the green as far as ROI on paper in micro amounts...

Until.... drum roll.... I factored in my time to manage it all and then it started to backside.

Which is why I don't do it much anymore.

Maybe once every couple years I'll play the quick flip game again for nostalgia and just so I can prove to myself I can still do it, if I wanted and had free time I didn't mind losing sleep over. ๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you for the link. In this case even I thought .Christmas is ridiculous but for a $1 for a year, OK. $1 OK but not 100 $1 domains! We're talking a $1 lottery ticket!
