I remember playing them a few years ago and it was reasonable. Now it seems like there are too many bidders and too high prices. It seems like the prices are now unrealistic for resellers.

Google Smartica -- it looks like it's somewhat of a multi-national lender currently utilizing ccTLDs. I, too, thought something was up with that auction until Googling.
Always advisable to research names well to see who the potential bidders/buyers are. Sometimes its possible to know who is or could be after a name sometimes not. But it is always good to know. Helps a lot in pricing

That automatically means they will pay more than XX,XXX to get the domain? A lot of large companies will not pay more than XX for a domain. If they really wanted it they can UDRP for a fraction of that auction sale.
