It seems the following adsense ID pub-4146XXXXX9415025 is appearing on all my 1plus.net pages as the adsense ID for the search box. Is this normal? why is the ID I have provided not being used?

It is The same adsense ID that is used on the main 1plus.net pages

1plus does use their own adsense.. but in rotation, I think its a 5:1.. so for every 5 times adsense is shown of someone else's, theirs is showen once.

I never thought about the search tho. its prob just theirs

it looks like the search is their adsense ID all the time

Have you entered your own Adsense ID in the options?

I believe the rotation is 9:1 incidentally. (9 of yours, 1 of theirs)

I have filled in the following adsense related boxes (I'm not aware of any others)

Horizontal News Banner Code
Vertical News Banner Code
Center Banner Code
Top Links Code
ADSense Merchant Code

I assumed it would be set/driven off the adsense merchant code

I have also set Revenue Pilot ID :

Under my default options, there is an option to place your adsense merchant code. If you place your merchant code here, then the search will contain your adsense ID :)

It will also default all the other ads to that ID as well. You don't need to add the code to the spaces above.

Hope that helps!

It appears to be a bug in their system with articles. I get my own ID with the news template but with the Articles template I get the same ID as you have posted. Nice Spot ;)

Yes http://www.quitit.co.nz turned out very well. It was kind of one of those domain purchases that were an accident/mistake (some one else had done the research(related to existing links) and it was not done properly) But I think it will work our very well in the end. Just take longer to build up traffic/get it indexed that's all.

But from the site side of things it could not be better. The site looks great

Just wondering is there any way we can get other articles that are not in the listed categories or filter them better when using the all category. Have a look at http://www.beerawards.co.nz this is the most relevant I can seem to make the articles (and they are about wine not beer)

Any update on when this is likely to be resolved?

Thanks

The search box code only affects the article template. All other ad spaces on our platform work fine.

Have discussed this with our techs and it will be fixed with version 2 of our article template due out very shortly.

Sorry for the less than immediate fix but if this is unduly affecting some users, may i recommend using either the news or blog templates for now (where the google search box works fine).

Rest assured, all main banner ads on the article template work as they should.

I know this isn't the place really, but why do the article templates only allow default Google ads? Why can't people place their own ads onto the page? :(

My Adsense volume has been dropping in last 2 days. I think 1plus.net is displaying their own code instead of ours !!!

You can easily check if they are or not. Remember, they do show their own ads in rotation with your own. The ratio is 9:1, so every 10th visit should show their ads.

I would have to agree with badger about the main adds working correctly I havent counted but it would appear there adds for the main adds appear ~ 1 in every 10 which is correct. The search as mentioned above their add code appears 10 in every 10.

The article templates are great(execpt the search code thing), I look foward to the corrected search code in version 2. Do you have a date or time line for this. If you need any Beta testers for the new templates I am keen to do this

Thanks
