I've got this on auction at flippa and it's not anywhere near where I feel it should be. Others haven't hit reserve either. What do you guys think this is worth?? I feel I'm being quite modest in my expecations.

What am I doing wrong? Are people just stock on four character .com's right now or is it because I'm a new seller there or do I need to advertise better? I love domain hunting, but the lack of liquidity is a problem.

Approved.cash is a loan related domain name. Perfect domain for loan/banking industry.
There is nothing wrong with your approach. People are just apprehensive when it comes to ngtlds. I hope the renewal fee is not ridiculously high. High renewal fee is a main factor ngtlds sales going nowhere. Still I firmly believe you can get easily 1k-2k dollars. All the best my friend :)

Hi Rob.

Domaining is a tough game and it takes time to learn what makes sense.

The easiest way to understand the "What am I doing wrong?" is to ask the question as if you were an end-user (not necessarily for the domain end-user, although it's very important) but from the standpoint of you as the customer or the customer of the business that might be built on Approved .cash.

And you should realize that this domain really only fits into one niche -- payday loans -- and that market is cornered by veterans in that industry including one that goes by the same name.

I see that you already have 12 bids and the domains only 5 days old so kudos for that.

The term has decent search and CPC and it's still early in the auction. Good luck.

I appreciate the feedback. I expected it to be worth $2000, was willing to accept $500, and was confident that in 5-10 years it would be worth 10 times what it is now. It's frustrating to see some of the domains that are actually getting strong bids right out of the gate while I'm over here having people try to nickel and dime me for one of the most sought after topics in the domain realm.

Those are good thoughts. I didn't realize that there was company going by that name and that could potentially be hurting me. In my mind approved.cash is far more fitting as a domain name than a company name and is too broad to possibly hold up as squatting. nonetheless I do see your point. As for the target market I think that in the future there will be loans for bankruptcy, divorce, debt consolidation services for people with poor credit, etc and that this moreless encompasses the main idea, "loans", more than just payday loans. I actually hadn't even thought of payday loans personally.

Don't be so quick with the kudos...I had to ask a favor of a couple people I know to do the majority of that just to get it to show up in the "most action" section and gain more exposure. I wouldn't do this if it was at it's reserve but see no harm in it at the moment. I meant to start the bid higher and apparently did it wrong and was getting bids for $1 wasting my time. Just hoping to figure out how to move things quicker and keep the money turning so this can be an effective use of time.

If you search "approved cash" without the "" in Google you won't see any advertisers. And the search and CPC I mentioned are probably searches for the company ApprovedCashAdvance .com.

It's really simple if you ask yourself "how would I search for a loan if I needed one?" I doubt you would ask Google for "approved cash". Don't know what you paid for it but If the $110 bid stands you'll be close to getting what the renewal fee will be for whoever buys it.

And also remember that there aren't any end-users on Flippa so you're preaching to the choir there.

Touche. I like your thoughts there. But many many reports are providing data that as time passes people are searching less for "keywords" and more for phrases. I might not type in "approved cash" to get a loan but I'm very likely to type in "best place to get approved for cash"

keywords are a concept of internet marketers not the general public. The general public doesn't know keywords they just know what they need to say

About 9 times out of 10 if I go to google and type something in I scroll past the ads, read the domains of the first four or so, and click whichever is the most concise to what I'm trying to achieve. Prior to domain investing, I would have never even thought that typing in "loans" would bring up the most powerful players in the industry vs doing what I believe most people do, which is ASK google. The domain is top notch maybe I'm just failing to sell the reasons why. Also, the renewel on .cash is only $24 and I would be more than happy to renew it for 5 years for whoever purchased it.

No one would trust getting a loan from a domain name with .cash as the extension. It might make sense to get approved for cash but consider that people have to take risk in getting loans and to them this domain name looks like something that pops under their browser window unwanted.

You are thinking too deeply, it is good but here it is not applied. Radio taste of a name is also considered.

There is no bad thing if it has positive words and positive meaning.

It looks good to me, brandable as well and has huge scope on the market.
