If you listed some sales with L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L we do do a comparison
isn't he the guy who paid 200k for flowers.mobi?
If you keep going, you may hold the record for most hyphens in a portfolio
Better question to ask would be: has he had success selling these types of names ?I saw some domainer pro had c-h-i-c-a-g-o.com and it got me to thinking/regging.
He owns some gems but he also has a lot of bad names in his portfolio. There are quite a few domainers who have better portfolios than his. No offense of course, just putting things in perspective. Some guy named Rick Swartz has c-h-i-c-a-g-o.com, and he seems to do pretty well with domains.
Lemmings are imitators too. They say imitation is the best form of flattery right?
Yes, it was a gamble and he could afford to lose. A gamble is not the same as insight. In his own words, he was following the money.isn't he the guy who paid 200k for flowers.mobi?

Multiple dashes don't seem to do good.
I dropped many L-L-L.com names because did not get any traction with them and many were great ones.
How do you communicate b-o-s-t-o-n? Visual communication is ok, but oral is awful. Also, search engines treat dash as a separator of words, symbols, so for google that would mean basically 6 letters, not a word.
And another bad thing about it: typing is not easy, when after each letter you have to go back to dash...
if its really worth, it wouldnt be available to register. simple.
