In another section I posted these as starting at $19 at Sedo. I know they are not all household words, but they are in Websters, they are relatively short, and all but one are .coms. Tell me if I'm crazy, but I thought they'd be bid on at $19. Let me know what you think of their value:

Nymphlike.com (Resembling, or characteristic of, a nymph)
Broiled.net
Dautie.com (a darling)
Thumbtacked.com
Slich.com (The finer portion of a crushed ore, as of gold, lead, or tin)
Thistly.com
Tweag.com (to tweak)
Flimsiest.com
Aestuary.com
Decury.com

Those are tough because no one knows what they mean and they would be hard to monetize...I'm just learning this stuff too man, like when I bought buyanewscooter.com I thought, "There'll be TONS of people that want to start an online scooter selling business!" and then I found out otherwise...lol...

Good luck with 'em though!!!

I learned this very early on in the game that just because a word is in the dictionary does not make it more valuable then the registration fee itself. The word has to be specific / generic or cover a niched area to show promise. Best of luck to you.

Good Luck! Your best chance for successfully registering a >XXX name would be to make sure to make an Adwords/Overture account (preferentially both) and see what other people are paying for such words as keywords. If nobody is willing to advertise them as keywords, chances are either the domain is very specialized or not valuable. Just because you haven't heard of it, it doesn't mean it isn't valuable. Something like: nanotechnology.com would go for quite a few bucks however many people in the world wouldn't have a clue what you were talking about if you started going on about nanotech and the future of it.

Thanks!

My own feeling is that nymphlike and dautie might be marketable for those sites that are found in a different forum :hehe:

I think that broiled and thumbtacked are okay.

You're all right about the others though - but I'm counting on some value if/when all short-ish real words are gone.

Thanks for the feedback!!!

Even if all the "short-ish" words are gone, most likely more obsure 1 word names - unless they are cleverly marketed into a nice brand - won't have much end user demand.
